来られる日のご連絡を頂きましたら、道着・模擬刀・木刀を御用意させて頂きます。少しの時間でも、刀を振られたら、すっきりしますよ。入り込みますよ。

Yes. Please let us know when you would like to visit us. We will prepare "Dou-gi" (a training wear), "Mogi-tou" (a fake sword for a lesson) and "Boku-tou" (a wooden sword for practice).

一般の場合、1級を取ってから、初段から始まります。(小・中学生は異なります)初段から八段まで昇段できます。

For general trainees, after passing "Ikkyuu", "Sho-dan" starts. There is a different grade structure for primary and junior high school students. You could become a 8th degree Dan if you practice "iai-dou" a lot.

最初の入会時に2500円の入会金を頂きます。それだけです。入会いただきまして間もなくしますと、会章・道着用名札・全剣連居合の教本をお渡しいたします。

You need pay JPY 2,500 as the admission fee. After becoming a member, we will give you a name tag for "Dou-gi", the club label and a textbook.

体系により若干の違いがありますが、刀(模擬刀)50000円から60000円　道着一式 15000円前後 です。

It varies but, normally, "Katana" (a fake sword) costs from JPY 50,000 to 60,000 and a set of "Dou-gi" costs about JPY 15,000.

八重垣会では、道着・模擬刀を購入されるまで、1ヶ月ぐらいは、貸出用をご準備しています。長期間の貸し出しは出来ませんのでご了承ください。

You can rent "Dou-gi" for about a month. Sorry, but you cannot keep our "Dou-gi" (that you rent) for a long time.

武道の場合は、稽古と申しますが、皆様の体調に合わせ指導させて頂きます。水分補給は大事ですからね、体調がすぐれない時は、指導者にすぐに言って下さい。

No. We teach you "Iai-dou", paying attention to your condition. If you feel bad, please tell it to your instructor immediately.

基本六段・七段の先生方が指導されます。人によって覚える早さが異なります。そんなことを熟知した先生方がおられますので安心してお越しください。

八重垣会は全日本剣道連盟居合道に所属しております。まず、全剣連居合12本を覚えて頂きます。月に一度組立と言って、2人で木刀を使用して、決められた技をすることで、体の動かし方や、刀のさばき方など、楽しく稽古をする時間も設けております。二段になったころから、HPの最初にあります、無双直伝英信流と言う古流の稽古に入ります。八重垣会は大阪で一番古く、大阪に伝わった英信流古流を伝承する会です。

"Yaegaki-kai" belongs to "Zen Nihon Kendou Renmei Iai-dou". At first, you will learn 12 events of "Zen-ken-ren Iai". Once a month, we have time to practice how to move our body and how to handle a sword, where a pair of trainees use a wooden sword and perform certain techniques. From the time you become a two-dan player, you start practicing an old school called "Musou Jikiden Hidenobu-ryu" which is described at the beginning of HP. "Yaegaki-kai" is the oldest club in Osaka, and it is the club to pass down the old school of "Hidenobu-ryu" that was introduced to Osaka.

八重垣会は月謝ではなく、会員の皆様とともに居合道を伝承していく会なので、月謝ではなく、会を運営するための会費が必要です。月額2500円です。学生は1000円です。

"Yaegaki-kai" is an association, where members pass on "Iai-dou" to the next generation and therefore we call it as a membership fee. The membership fee per month is JPY 2,500 for adults and JPY 1,000 for students.
